Story:
2009 was the year after Torquay had been promoted back to the Football League after a two seasons in the conference. After finishing 17th in 09/10 season, including a FA Cup 3rd round tie against Brighton.
The following year they went on to finish in the playoffs in the 10/11 season narrowly losing out in the final at Wembley to Stevenage 1-0. They also lost in the 4th round of the FA Cup to Creepy Crawley – a game that still annoys me. The club has never been the same since…
This was the shirt that the famous Eunan O’Kane wore. I remember standing in the popside at Plainmoor thinking that this guy if a decent player. A few years later he would be playing in the Premier League for Bournmouth. Maybe all the years of playing Football Manager are paying off??
This is porbably my favourite shirt of the collection.
